These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TipEasy platform. By creating an account or using TipEasy, you agree to these Terms.

Description of Service

TipEasy provides a platform that allows businesses and individuals to create digital tipping pages where customers may send gratuities.

TipEasy acts solely as a technology platform and never takes custody, possession, or control of customer funds.

Payment Processing

Payments made through TipEasy are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Funds are transferred directly to the merchant or connected account specified by the account owner.

TipEasy does not hold or store funds and is not responsible for payment processing errors, disputes, delays, fraud, or chargebacks.

TipEasy Service Fees

TipEasy charges a service fee equal to a percentage of each transaction processed through the platform.

By using the Service you authorize TipEasy to collect this fee. TipEasy may update fees with reasonable notice.

Ownership of Tipping Pages

Account owners may customize tipping pages including:

  • Business name
  • Logos or branding
  • Tip amounts
  • Staff names
  • Messages or descriptions

All information entered on tipping pages belongs to the account owner. TipEasy does not claim ownership of this data and accepts no responsibility for its accuracy or legality.

Customer Comments and Notes

Customers may optionally include comments or notes when submitting tips. These comments are created entirely by customers and do not represent the views or opinions of TipEasy.

TipEasy does not moderate or control these messages and accepts no liability for them.

No Financial Liability

TipEasy is not responsible for:

  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Payment disputes or chargebacks
  • Incorrect payouts
  • Funds credited or not credited to merchant accounts
  • Financial losses related to tipping transactions

Account Responsibility

Account owners are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, protecting account credentials, and complying with applicable laws.

Prohibited Uses

  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Money laundering
  • Misrepresentation of a business
  • Violation of payment processor policies

Account Suspension or Termination

TipEasy may suspend, deactivate, or delete accounts at its sole discretion, with or without notice, if these Terms are violated or if we determine such action is necessary to protect the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TipEasy shall not be liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of revenue, or business interruption resulting from use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TipEasy from any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the platform, your tipping page content, or disputes with customers.

Platform Intermediary Disclaimer

TipEasy does not own, operate, or endorse any business using the platform. All services provided to customers are the responsibility of the account owner.

Force Majeure

TipEasy shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond its control including internet outages, cyberattacks, payment processor failures, or natural disasters.

Service Availability

TipEasy does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform and is not liable for downtime or technical issues.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
